Mexican and Peruvian Indians |

Peruvian Dancers
|
One of the major characteristics of Roche''s work as it developed over the
years was to create series of paintings related in subject matter. |
|
During the 1950's, Roché did a large series of paintings of the Indians of
Mexico and Peru. They are powerful, in-depth, life-size watercolors with all the vibrancy,
dignity and warmth of the people. A few oils also were done at that time.
